Scholarships

Ensuring students have the financial support needed to successfully matriculate through post secondary institutions is vital to the mission of the Legacy of Pearls Foundation. We offer several scholarships for students pursuing post-secondary studies.

Legacy of Sisterhood Scholarship

An annual scholarship open to all seniors attending Douglas County High Schools. Currently not accepting applications.

Frankie Mullins Morris Legacy Scholarship

The student  must have  a minimum of a 3.0 GPA , attend a Douglas County High School, and plan to attend a 4 year institution. Currently not accepting applications.

Margie Nell Hall Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is open to students attending or planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college or university who have exhibited a commitment to community service. Currently not accepting applications.

Powerful Voices Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is open to female graduating high school seniors and current college students majoring in Music Theater, Acting, or working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Currently not accepting applications.

Jonathan & Mary A. Ware Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is open to Metro Atlanta high school male and female students who plan to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Donors giving to this scholarship will receive a tax donation letter at the end of the year. Currently not accepting applications. 

Jacqueline Jones Legacy Scholarship

The student must have a minimum GPA 3.0, plan to graduate from high school in the metro Atlanta area, and plans to attend any post-secondary institution.  Currently not accepting applications.

Pastor Julia Marbury Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is open to high school students in metro Atlanta with a minimum of 3.0 GPA, planning to attend Alabama State University or Bethune Cookman University who have exhibited a commitment to leadership and service.  Currently not accepting applications.

Arthur David Beavers, Jr. & Gloria S. Beavers Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is open to a Metro Atlanta high school male or female student leader who plans to attend college. The student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 with a demonstrated financial need. The student must also exhibit a strong commitment to community service.  Currently not accepting applications.

Jimmy Demoris Evans Blue Collar Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is for a first generation college student (technical, junior college or four-year institution). Currently not accepting applications.

James T. & Bernett Shaw Legacy Scholarship

This application is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students seeking to major or minor in a computer related field.  This is a one time merit scholarship awarded to a student with a 2.75 or higher GPA.  Currently not accepting applications.

Beverly Alexander Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is open to minority students attending a Metro Atlanta high school with plans to pursue post-secondary education and have a demonstrated financial need.  This scholarship does not have a minimum GPA requirement for the application. Currently not accepting applications.

Rhoan Troy Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is for a current undergraduate college student attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) majoring in computer technology or music related major. Currently not accepting applications.

Cheryl Y. Frazier Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is open to a current undergraduate student with at least one year remaining. Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.75, demonstrate high moral standards, a strong commitment to community service and involvement. Students must major in Music, Accounting, Finance or related field. Currently not accepting applications.

Legacy of Pearls Book Scholarship

Annual Scholarship open to any student enrolled in college. Currently not accepting applications.

Linda P. Calloway Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is open to Metro Atlanta minority women pursuing a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Currently not accepting applications.

John Percy “Dee” Bethel Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is for a current international student attending Bethune Cookman University.  The award is based on demonstrated financial need, community service and student involvement. Currently not accepting applications.

LaTanya Boatwright Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is open to male and female students who are currently attending college.  The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 with a demonstrated financial need.  Currently not accepting applications.

Barbara A. Dye Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship will support a student in the community as they continue their post secondary education. Currently not accepting applications.

Pearls of Grace Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is for graduate and/or non-traditional college students. Currently not accepting applications.

Silver Star Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is for a current college student.  Currently not accepting applications.

Cerese D. Jewelry Legacy Scholarship

This annual scholarship was established to support business students enrolled at Clark Atlanta University.  Currently not accepting applications.

The 7 Amendments of The L.A.W. Book Scholarship

The students eligible for the award must be actively enrolled at a four year institution of higher education who are originally from the metro Atlanta area or surrounding counties. Currently not accepting applications.

Deirdre Graddick Heart of Service Essay Contest

This scholarship is awarded to a participant in the T.E.A. Rose Debutante Cotillion Scholarship Program who has excelled in community service.  To be eligible for the scholarship award, you must be a participant in the T.E.A. Rose Debutante Cotillion Scholarship Program.  

Linda P. Calloway Leadership Essay Contest

This scholarship honors a T.E.A. Rose Debutante Cotillion Scholarship Program participant for their leadership at school and in the community. To be eligible for the scholarship award, you must be a participant in the T.E.A. Rose Debutante Cotillion Scholarship Program.
